Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, carpets, furniture, and fixtures, adhering to established standards.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy linens, furniture, or cleaning equipment while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and emergency procedures to respond promptly to any safety concerns or incidents.
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and floor care tools effectively to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Manage custodial supplies inventory and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial background preferred; familiarity with janitorial and industrial cleaning is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for various cleaning products.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly while maintaining safety protocols.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and the importance of adhering to safety guidelines during routine operations.
- Proven track record in maintaining high standards of cleanliness within a hospitality setting or similar environment.
