We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Dietary Supervisor to lead and oversee the dietary services within our healthcare facility. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dietary operations, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to individual dietary needs, including tube feeding and specialized nutrition protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and adjust meal plans accordingly.
- Oversee meal preparation, presentation, and service to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
- Manage dietary department staff through training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals for diagnostic evaluations and updates to care plans based on patient progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of dietary records, patient progress notes, and incident reports while managing departmental budgets effectively.
- Provide health coaching to residents or patients to promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or healthcare settings with a focus on dietary management.
- Strong knowledge of dietetics, nutrition science, physiology, and care plan development.
- Supervising experience within a dietary or healthcare department is essential.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Hands-on experience with tube feeding protocols and specialized nutrition therapies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to departmental operations.
