COLORADO PARKS AND WILDLIFE (CPW)
Our Mission is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state parks system,
and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire
current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado's natural resources. Colorado

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Assist the Property Technician with the daily maintenance and improvement of State
Wildlife Areas in Rio Blanco County. Primary duties will include but are not limited to:
noxious weed control; facility and equipment maintenance; fence repair and construction;
mandatory big game animal checks; operating and maintaining vehicles, trailers, weed
spraying equipment, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s), Skid steers, excavators, tractors, power
tools, and chainsaws; handling animal carcasses; data recording and record keeping; as
well as interacting with and answering questions from hunters and anglers. This position
will also assist District Wildlife Managers, Biologists, and other Property Technicians with
wildlife management related tasks.
