Duties
- Assist with food preparation including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and food handling techniques
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation meets restaurant standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
- Help with cooking tasks such as grilling, sautéing, or baking under supervision to ensure timely meal service
- Manage inventory by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed for menu planning and daily operations
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment use to uphold health regulations
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of menu items and ensuring timely delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is preferred
- Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, food preparation, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning and fine dining service practices is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
