Position Overview
The Director of Partnerships reports directly to the SIAC Commissioner and will serve as the primary liaison between active and potential partners, the SIAC office, and member institutions. The Director of Partnerships will be responsible for maintaining existing partnerships and cultivating relationships with new partners that positively impact the SIAC.

Responsibilities
- The Director of Partnerships will serve as the primary liaison between the SIAC and existing partners
- Identify and pursue partners that will have a positive financial impact on the conference and increase SIAC brand visibility
- Responsible for the acquisition and renewal of corporate support for the SIAC, focusing on those with the capacity to make substantial commitments
- Work closely with contracted sports advertising and entertainment agencies on the partnerships they manage
- Responsible for keeping SIAC leadership team informed on the status of all agreements and the progress toward established revenue goals
- Work closely with member institutions and other internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of deal points
- Work closely with the marketing and communications to ensure all partnership and championship deliverables are in compliance with the conference branding standards
- Maintain a partnership content calendar, and create content as needed
- Work with Director of Championships to prepare and deliver all championship materials in relation to partnerships (i.e. trophies, championship apparel, balls, signage, office supplies, staff meals, hydration stations, etc.)
- Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or related fields)
- 4-6 years of marketing and corporate partnership experience
- Experience serving as the primary account manage for corporate clients
- Strong ability to problem-solve with the ability to work effectively, efficiently, independently and as a team leader in a deadline-driven, dynamic office environment
- Willingness to work extended hours beyond the typical business day, including nights and weekends throughout the academic year as needed as it relates to conference games, championships, and special events
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with proficiency in AP Style writing
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills as well as a strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- Understanding of social media platforms, content management platforms, desktop publishing software and statistical programs
- Demonstrated experience with, and understanding of, the broad diversity of the university/college communities (students, faculty, staff and others)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the university/college communities
