The Dingley Press was founded in Lewiston, Maine 1928. We are one of the largest printers serving the catalog industry.
We are currently looking for a self motivated Custodian to work overnights, 11 pm - 7 am.
Position Overview:
The Custodian under supervision of a Maintenance Shift Supervisor or the Maintenance Manager performs a variety of custodial duties of a daily routine nature in support of the maintenance of assigned company buildings and adjacent grounds
Essential Job Functions:
- Clean and maintain all indoor facility areas, restrooms and administrative offices as assigned.
- Empty trash receptacles.
- Maintain and clean all floors including aggregate, carpet and vinyl.
- Monitor and fill all paper dispensers in restrooms and maintenance areas.
- Wash all windows and glass in office areas on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Clean and dust all furniture, fixtures and exhibits in assigned buildings and offices.
- Clean all floor mats regularly.
- Handle all chemical cleaning products in a safe responsible manner.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety regulations. Inspect assigned areas and identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Clean and maintain outdoor facility areas duties including remove trash; clean entrances, stairs, ramps, lawns and sidewalks adjacent to the building and clear snow and ice from sidewalks, stairs, entrance ramps, etc.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or Dept. manager.
- Adhere to and follow all procedures and assignments of shift supervisors or Dept. manager.
Qualification/ Requirements:
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work alone.
- Self motivated.
- Ability to follow schedules and task lists
- Ability to handle chemical cleaning agents safely.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to operate Hand tools, electrically operated buffers, strippers, waxers, vacuum cleaners, and shampooers as directed
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to speak and understand clear english.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
