Pet Care Specialist — Miles Per Mutt LLC

What You'll Do
Our Pet Care Specialists travel from one client's home to the next, providing personalized care for pets while their owners are away or unavailable. Responsibilities may include:
- Feeding and providing fresh water
- Walking dogs and providing exercise and playtime
- Cleaning litter boxes, cages, and pet areas
- Administering medications as directed
- Checking on the safety and well-being of pets and the home
- Bringing in mail/packages and taking out trash
- Light tidying related to pet care
- Providing detailed updates and photos after visits
- Following each client's individual care instructions carefully
Because every pet and household is different, we're looking for someone who is comfortable adapting while still following instructions closely.
Who We're Looking For

- A strong communicator
- Great at managing their time and staying on schedule
- Comfortable working with a variety of animals and personalities
- Experienced with animal handling or pet care, ideally
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Working smartphone
- Must be able to meet background check requirements in accordance with applicable laws and client site policies
- Willingness to travel between clients' homes during scheduled shifts
- Willingness to work evenings and some holidays
Schedule
We are currently looking for someone with mostly open availability who is flexible with the number of hours they receive each week.
Pet care needs vary from week to week based on our clients' travel and schedules, so weekly hours may fluctuate. This position is best suited for someone who has flexibility in their schedule and is comfortable with variable hours.
Mileage Reimbursement
Miles Per Mutt LLC provides mileage reimbursement for work-related driving. Historically, this reimbursement has added the equivalent of approximately $1.35 per hour worked on average, in addition to regular hourly wages.
