We just won Miami New Times Best of Miami 2026 — Best Chocolate Shop AND Best Desserts. The Sweet Tooth is a chocolate store and factory that's been part of North Miami Beach since 1979, and we're growing. We make hand-crafted chocolates, chocolate-dipped treats, and custom gift baskets — all of it kosher. Now we're looking for one sharp, motivated person — with strong verbal and written communication skills in English — to join our team.

What you'll be doing
- Greeting and assisting customers in the store and helping them find the perfect gift
- Answering the phone professionally, taking accurate messages, and responding to customer questions and requests
- Handling customer orders, product information, and pricing accurately
- Writing clear, professional emails to customers, vendors, and coworkers
- Researching products, vendors, packaging, baskets, and pricing online — comparing options, prices, and availability, and recommending the best one
- Keeping the retail area organized and looking great
- Learning our products, chocolates, pricing, packaging options, and ordering procedures
Who thrives here
You don't need chocolate experience — but you do need to be smart, quick to learn, and genuinely capable. Specifically:
- Outstanding phone skills — this is #1 for us. You sound professional and friendly on every call, take accurate messages, and handle requests smoothly.
- Comfortable on both Mac and PC. Sending emails, attaching files, creating and organizing folders, saving documents, and navigating new programs independently — without needing help for the basics.
- A strong online researcher. You can independently use Google and other online resources to research products, vendors, packaging, baskets, and pricing, and come back with a simple comparison of options, prices, and availability — not just a pile of links.
- Excellent customer service skills. Comfortable greeting and assisting customers in person, answering the phone professionally, responding to customer questions, processing requests, and handling difficult or demanding customers with patience and respect.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers — both in person and in writing.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented. This one is huge for us. Customer orders, product information, pricing, phone messages, emails, and all the other day-to-day retail details handled accurately — without constant supervision.
- Self-directed and proactive. You see what needs to be done and take initiative — keeping the space organized, following up on tasks, and finding ways to help customers and the business.
- Willing and able to learn — and retain it. Our products, chocolates, pricing, packaging options, ordering procedures, and other aspects of the business. Saying "I'll learn" isn't enough — you actually pick things up and keep them.
- Reliable and professional. Dependable, punctual, responsible, and able to work independently.
Phone experience is a must, and retail experience is required too — hospitality, food service, or other customer-facing backgrounds count.
