Little Branches Learning Center is seeking a dependable, organized, and team-oriented Kitchen Manager to join our growing childcare team! This position plays an important role in caring for our children by preparing nutritious meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for our staff and families.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to KDHE/CACFP guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dishes, and food prep areas
- Manage food inventory, grocery ordering, and supply organization
- Track meal counts and maintain required food program documentation
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and safety procedures are followed
- Work alongside classroom staff to support daily routines as needed
- Help create a warm, positive environment for children and families
Qualifications
- Experience in food service, childcare, or commercial kitchen preferred
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Background check required
