Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Assist with food preparation and food handling to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests while maintaining cleanliness standards
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating arrangements and managing waitlists with OpenTable or similar reservation systems
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems specifically Toast
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations
- Experience in serving, bussing, hosting, or guest relations roles within the food industry
