Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Garden's marketing, communications, and customer engagement initiatives through CRM and ticketing management, digital and print marketing, website and social media content, and promotional campaigns. This position collaborates across departments to strengthen the Garden's brand, increase visitation, support fundraising efforts, drive revenue, and enhance the guest experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize the CRM, ticketing software and social media platforms to drive ticket sales, enhance guest experiences and support development campaigns
- Work with the Development team to create emails, digital content and print work for programs, events, fundraising, campaigns, etc. to support Garden needs
- Manage, maintain, and optimize the organization’s CRM system, leveraging its capabilities to improve processes, reporting, automation, and user experience across departments
- Utilize CRM and ticketing software to promote and communicate current events and programs with targeted audiences
- Manage, maintain, and optimize ticketing software to create ticketing pages, utilize marketing tools, reporting features, and enhance user experience
- Develop and produce signage, promotional materials, and visual communications to support organizational initiatives and Garden needs
- Participate in the maintenance of the Garden’s website
- Photograph the gardens, events and public programs for promotional purposes
- Maintain the brand image
- Maintain a social media presence and collaborate with all departments for relevant content
- Support day-to-day updates, content management and optimization of the organization’s website to ensure accuracy, consistency and strong user experience
- Maintain an advertising and marketing calendar
- Assist with special events and programs as needed, including seasonal nights and weekends
- Perform other assigned tasks related to the position
Minimum Job Qualifications and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Windows operating systems, CRM platforms, marketing software, email marketing tools, and social media management platforms.
- Experience with graphic design and digital content creation.
- Comfortable using and managing social media platforms, including maintaining a marketing and social media content calendar.
- Strong sense of visual design, creativity, organization, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with horticulture, botanic gardens, outdoor recreation, or a passion for connecting people with nature is a plus.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-pacedenvironment.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Working Conditions and Environmental Exposures:
The position is primarily a seated, indoor office position with intermitted standing and walking. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally have exposure to outside weather conditions and uneven, unpaved terrain. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be asked to lift 50+ pounds.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
