Iowa State University is seeking part-time central Iowa Field Experience Supervisors to support candidates during practica and student teaching.
Expertise in the following content areas are needed:

Elementary Education
-
Special Education K-8
-
English as a Second Language K-12
-
Music Education: Instrumental, Vocal, and/or General K-12
-
Secondary Education:
-
Social Studies Education
-
Math Education
-
Science Education: all subject areas
-
World Language Education: Spanish
The Student Teaching and Practicum Supervisor will conduct in-person observations, post-conference with candidates to provide verbal and written feedback related to strengths and areas of improvement. In addition, the Supervisor will grade assignments, complete various evaluations, and be a liason between Iowa State University and the assigned cooperating teacher.
The hired Supervisors will be part-time, contract employees, and will have a caseload of 4-6 students. Contract employees are paid per student and will receive mileage reimbursement for travel to schools.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in an acredidted school setting

Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Iowa
-
Masters Degree in a related field
-
Available for in-person school-based observations in central Iowa
Preferred Qualifications:
-
K-12 Coaching or mentoring experience
-
Experience serving as a cooperating teacher for field experiences

Experience serving as a field experience supervisor
