Heat Treat Operator – C Job Description
*2nd Shift*
Monday-Friday: 4:00 pm. - 12:30 am. PLUS SHIFT INCENTIVE!!
We are seeking a Heat Treat Operator to join our team in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, patient, and able to handle and complete one task at a time. As a Heat Treat Operator, you will be responsible for hardening metals through heat treatment, ensuring that the materials meet our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Load and unload baskets, containers, and furnaces, preparing loads for heat treat and customer product for shipment.
- Operate heat treating equipment as instructed.
- Operate material handling equipment in compliance with all safety requirements.
- Maintain orderly storage of fixtures, product, and material handling equipment.
- Start, operate, and shut down furnaces and other equipment.
- “Earn as you Learn” more about heat treat operations and furnace load makeup.
- Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Work well with others in a fast-paced production, close team environment.
- Must be able to:
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist on a frequent basis while protecting lifted items from damage.
- Stand for several consecutive hours, with frequent bending and reaching.
- Tolerate a hot work environment.
- Walk within and between areas frequently and climb stairs occasionally.
- Understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Retain instructions sufficient to perform repeat tasks successfully.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Prior experience working in general labor or loading/unloading equipment.
