Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Demonstrate proper techniques for routines, flips, vaults, and other gymnastic skills while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Monitor participants’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust coaching methods accordingly
- Maintain a safe environment by supervising equipment use, enforcing behavior management policies, and conducting regular safety checks
- Foster a motivating atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and confidence among athletes
- Support the development of related skills such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (e.g., Judo, Karate), swimming, and physical education activities to enhance overall athleticism
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding progress and safety concerns
- Ability to work Saturday's
Skills
- Previous experience in gymnastics coaching or sports coaching with a passion for youth development
- Strong background in teaching physical education or martial arts such as Karate or Judo
- Experience working with children in childcare or educational settings with excellent behavior management skills
- Knowledge of swimming, climbing, cheerleading, basketball, and other athletic disciplines is a plus
- Lifeguard experience is advantageous for overseeing water-related activities or ensuring safety during aquatic components
- Ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds while maintaining a positive and energetic demeanor
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, parents, and participants effectively
