Project Milk Mission is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and infant health by providing breastfeeding education, Safe Sleep education, and maternal wellness programming to underserved communities.
Position Summary
Project Milk Mission is seeking a Program Coordinator for a grant-funded, part-time position. The Program Coordinator will coordinate maternal wellness activities that promote stress management, emotional well-being, and healthy lifestyles for pregnant and postpartum mothers. This position is responsible for coordinating participant outreach and enrollment, planning wellness activities, managing event logistics, supporting the implementation of Safe Sleep education, and maintaining documentation required for grant reporting.
This is a remote, community-based position that requires regular travel throughout Butler County, including Middletown, Hamilton, and surrounding communities, for outreach, meetings, wellness activities, and community events.
Essential ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination
- Coordinate grant-funded maternal wellness activities for pregnant and postpartum mothers.
- Plan and schedule wellness activities in collaboration with community partners and wellness instructors.
- Coordinate event logistics, including locations, supplies, refreshments, educational materials, and participant incentives.
- Support the successful implementation of Safe Sleep education provided by the organization's Certified Lactation Specialist.
- Ensure activities are delivered in accordance with grant requirements.
Community Outreach & Participant Engagement
- Recruit pregnant and postpartum mothers to participate in wellness activities and Safe Sleep education.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral partners.
- Promote grant-funded programming through outreach and community engagement.
- Register participants, provide reminders, and conduct participant follow-up to encourage attendance.
Event Support
- Coordinate participant registration and event check-in.
- Assist with setup and coordination of wellness activities.
- Ensure participant materials and supplies are available during events.
- Coordinate the distribution of participant incentives and educational materials.
Grant Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain participant registration and attendance records.
- Collect participant surveys, evaluations, and outcome data.
- Track participation and program outcomes.
- Prepare documentation required for grant reporting.
- Maintain organized program records.
Meetings & Collaboration
- Attend staff meetings, grant meetings, coalition meetings, and community partner meetings as needed.
- Provide regular updates to the Founder & CEO regarding outreach efforts, program activities, and grant progress.
- Collaborate with Project Milk Mission staff to support successful program implementation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience coordinating community programs, nonprofit programs, public health initiatives, or outreach activities preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Experience planning community events is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Butler County.
Schedule
- Part-time (13 hours per week)

- Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
