HELP WANTED: Deuel County is accepting applications for a full-time Appraiser/Deputy in the Equalization Office.
A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate degree is preferred. Current Certified Appraiser/Assessor (CAA) certification is preferred; however, applicants must obtain their CAA certification within 12 months of the hire date. A valid driver's license is required.
Duties include conducting on-site property inspections, accurately entering property data, researching and identifying correct legal descriptions and property owners, preparing and maintaining current data for each parcel assessed, and performing general clerical duties. Attention to detail is an essential quality for this position.
Applicants should possess strong computer skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, proficiency in mathematics, and effective oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, GIS, and appraisal software is preferred. Travel for required schools and meetings to obtain and maintain certification is required.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary: Pay depends on qualifications and experience.
