Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II to support automation and control system projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC programming, process control, instrumentation, system commissioning, and industrial automation in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
- Support process control, instrumentation, and automation projects.
- Analyze equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance data.
- Perform control logic updates, loop tuning, commissioning, startup, and functional testing.
- Develop maintenance strategies and support SIL and safety system reviews.
- Create and review electrical drawings, control panel layouts, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with industrial instrumentation, control systems, PLCs, and automation.
- Knowledge of ISA standards, P&IDs, control valves, transmitters, and process instrumentation.
- Experience with SAP, Tableau, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE/Emerson, National Instruments, AutomationDirect).
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with system integration, commissioning, and startup.
- Willingness to travel for onsite support as needed.
Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
