American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and required AWHONN Intermediate certification.

Work setting is a Labor & Delivery unit at a women's hospital with 100–200 facility births per month
-
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with an option of 36 or 48 hours per week

13-week contract

Patient ratio is 1:2
-
Antepartum and Labor & Delivery experience expected, including high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, C-section circulating and recovery, and antepartum care
-
Medication administration includes anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
-
Procedures include sterile vaginal exams, obstetrical triage, external fetal heart monitoring (EFM), IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line maintenance (CVC/PICC)

Epic charting experience preferred

4–6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period

Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs

Active NM or Compact RN license required (pending NM/Compact license accepted, but must be obtained prior to start)

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required (not including new graduate orientation time)

Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)

AWHONN Advanced certification preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Current valid state RN license required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Travelers will receive a brief orientation on any unit they float to

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

No RTO during the first week of orientation; a maximum of 3 days of RTO may be auto-approved for the contract

No travel pairs or groups accepted

Isolation precautions/PPE compliance is expected
