Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. This role is vital in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatrics or related fields and a strong commitment to delivering personalized care.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or social activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress and needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in geriatrics
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and co-workers
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
