Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to early childhood development standards, including preschool and toddler care
- Plan and execute age-appropriate lessons focusing on literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and effective classroom management strategies
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that supports child welfare and promotes emotional well-being
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding child progress, behavior, and classroom activities
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and learning outcomes
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, child development progress, and classroom activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as preschools or childcare centers
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management is highly desirable
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy instruction, math concepts, and childhood welfare practices
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willing to obtain prior to start date
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety is essential
- Ability to work early morning hours starting at 6:30 AM with energy and enthusiasm for teaching young children
