Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto service management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of the service team. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and sales acumen to drive service performance and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services.
- Supervise and mentor service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Oversee service writing processes to ensure accurate documentation of services performed and customer requests.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on new automotive technologies, repair techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
- Collaborate with the sales & finance team to promote dealership services and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies necessary for vehicle maintenance and repairs.& make sure the parts person is finding the best deals on all parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the service department.
Experience
- Proven experience in a dealership environment with a strong understanding of automotive service management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Experience in managing financial transactions related to service operations.
