Your Role with the Company
As a Field Application Engineer – Servo Systems, you will serve as the technical product expert supporting servo and motion-control products across customers, sales teams, product management, and internal engineering organizations.
You will work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements, troubleshoot application challenges, recommend appropriate solutions, and support projects from early design engagement through implementation. The role combines servo systems, power electronics, application engineering, customer support, technical training, and project coordination.
Responsiblities
- Provide technical application support for servo systems and related products.
- Partner with sales teams to support key accounts and customer opportunities.
- Engage with OEM/ODM customers early in the design cycle to identify application requirements.
- Understand customer needs, ask the right technical questions, and translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Recommend appropriate servo, motion-control, and power-electronics solutions.
- Maintain strong technical expertise across assigned product lines and customized applications.
- Troubleshoot customer application and product issues and coordinate resolution with internal engineering teams.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales technical training and services.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, application information, and technical materials.
- Coordinate with product management, engineering, sales, and factory teams to ensure accurate project information and timely deliverables.
- Work closely with headquarters and manufacturing teams in Asia to track project development and implementation.
- Perform product testing, installation support, and application validation as required.
- Research market and application trends to identify emerging customer needs and potential product opportunities.
- Recommend new application-engineering solutions based on market and customer requirements.
- Identify project risks, communicate issues to the appropriate stakeholders, and drive resolution.
- Support continuous improvement of technical support processes and operational activities.
- Assist with global service, RMA, and factory initiatives.
- Manage multiple customer projects and technical activities simultaneously.
- Travel to customer and company locations as needed, approximately 20%.

Background Profile
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience working with servo systems.
- Required experience with power electronics.
- Strong understanding of servo systems, motion control, and industrial applications.
- Ability to understand customer technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and application-engineering skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, engineers, and product managers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to continuously expand product and application knowledge.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20%, including overnight and international travel.
