Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Apartment Maintenance Worker to join our apartment community team. This position is responsible for general maintenance, work orders, apartments make-readies, and helping maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the property.
The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and can handle a variety of maintenance tasks with professionalism and urgency.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily maintenance work orders in vacant or occupied apartments.
- Perform apartment make-readies for new move-ins.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, window a/c units, drywall, painting, carpentry and appliance repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of grounds and common areas.
- Assist with preventative maintenance projects.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Work closely with management to ensure resident satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, window a/c units, carpentry and general repairs.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
