In your position as an Appointment Scheduler and Patient Concierge Specialist you will set the tone for the patient's experience by:
* Traveling between our locations per training and staffing needs required. This would primarily be our Wilmington, NC location but may include our Hampstead and Supply, NC locations occasionally.
* Cross-training and rotating in all positions of the front office including but not limited to; check in, check out, call center, electronic faxes, scheduling in person/on the phone/and through the patient communication system, etc.
* Welcoming patients and visitors, and answering inquiries about our practice, providers and services.
* Optimizing patient satisfaction, billing accuracy, and treatment room utilization, by scheduling appointments and obtaining or updating new and existing demographic data, collecting co-pays/ deposits, and generating patient charts. Asking qualifying questions and entering notes in appointment system.
* Managing both in and out-bound calls for multiple providers in a timely manner. Providing superior, consistent, empathetic patient care via phone and assisting patients in accessing care.
* Comforting patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions while adhering to HIPAA Guidelines.
* Ensuring availability of treatment information by filing, faxing and retrieving patient records.
* Maintaining patient accounts, financial information, and verifying insurance.
* Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information.
* Maintaining operations by following policies and procedures.
* Contributing to the Summit team by completing related duties as assigned and consistently 'going the extra mile'.

- Serve as a liaison for the patient to resolve any concerns or problems that may arise, while maintaining ongoing communications.
- Additional Information:
- Monday -Thursday 10 hour shifts 7:00AM-5:30PM

- Uniforms provided upon successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
PLEASE NOTE: This position is open to fully qualified, experienced applicants who can demonstrate past performance in medical front office environments, hospital registration, multi-phone lines or closely related fields. POSITION REQUIRES TRAVELING TO OUR OTHER LOCATIONS TO MEET STAFFING NEEDS.
