Rocky Top Middle School is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Learning Specialist) to support students in grades 6–8. This full-time school-based position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and academic support for students with mild to moderate learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction for middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
- Active Special Education Teacher license/certification (Colorado or eligible for licensure).
- Experience working with middle school students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

- Full-time school schedule
- All orientation hours are billable
