Part-Time Dog Walker & Pet Care Associate
Service Area: South Euclid, Cleveland Heights, Mayfield Heights, Shaker Heights, University Heights, and surrounding communities
Petcare Deluxe LLC is a professional in-home pet care company providing personalized dog walking and pet sitting services throughout Northeast Ohio. Our mission is to keep pets happy, safe, and comfortable in their own homes while giving their owners peace of mind.
We're looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated individual who enjoys working independently and has a genuine love for animals to join our growing team.
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Midday and afternoon availability preferred (approximately 12:00-2:00pm) 3 weekdays
- Availability for at least one weekend afternoon each week between 4-6pm is required
- Additional morning and evening visits may be available
- Schedule is based on your availability and client demand
- No overnight or boarding services
Responsibilities
As a Pet Care Associate, you'll provide professional, reliable care to a variety of pets while representing Petcare Deluxe LLC in clients' homes.
Responsibilities include:
- Walking dogs and providing exercise
- Feeding pets and refreshing food and water
- Cleaning litter boxes and maintaining pet areas
- Administering routine medications (training provided for qualified visits)
- Providing companionship, enrichment, and basic playtime
- Following detailed care instructions for each client
- Sending visit updates, photos, and GPS-tracked report cards through our company app
- Traveling between client homes within your assigned service area
- Monitoring pets for any changes in behavior or health and communicating concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
- Auto insurance meeting state requirements
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, GPS navigation, and visit documentation
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Previous professional or personal animal care experience is helpful but not required
- Must successfully pass a background check
Work Environment
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active and working independently.
You'll regularly:
- Walk dogs in a variety of weather conditions
- Drive between multiple client homes throughout the day
- Spend extended periods walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds when necessary
- Work one-on-one with pets of different breeds, sizes, and personalities

Expected Hours
Typically 2–15 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as your availability expands and client demand increases.
