Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care by performing thorough patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), wound care including ostomy management, and sterile technique adherence.
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, trauma medicine at Level I/II trauma centers, ICU or PICU experience, and critical care response procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health initiatives.
- Support patients with diverse needs including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal resuscitation procedures, developmental disabilities, memory care, and chronic disease management such as dialysis or cardiology-related treatments.
- Participate in infection control practices and laboratory specimen collection/processing to ensure safety and accuracy in diagnostics.
- Provide education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication administration, home & community care strategies, and family planning when applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in various clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine (including Level I/II trauma centers), ICU or PICU settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for medical documentation and patient data management.
- Prior experience in specialized areas such as ophthalmology (botulinum toxin treatment), occupational health, hospice & palliative care, or long-term care facilities including nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Skilled in performing advanced procedures including tube feeding management, ventilator support, NG/OG tube placement (gastric lavage), sonography or medical imaging support when needed.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and understanding of Workers' Compensation law is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to deliver personalized patient-centered care effectively.
