Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Pharmacist specializing in compounding to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pharmacy operations, including non-sterile compounding, patient assessment, and healthcare compliance. Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound medications accurately following USP 797 guidelines and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and provide medication counseling.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, HIPAA regulations, and healthcare policies.
- Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering, storage, and documentation of compounded medications.
- Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for accurate record keeping.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during sterile compounding procedures such as IV infusions and medication administration.
- Support patient care initiatives by providing clinical pharmacy services, including immunizations and medication management for pediatrics and acute care patients.
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license with current registration in Michigan
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems, drug regulation, and pharmacy law.
- Experience with medical management, pain management protocols, and immunizations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, pharmacology terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Certifications such as USP 795 and or immunization training preferred.
- Prior pharmacy residency or clinical pharmacy experience is advantageous; pharmacy technician experience is a plus.

Pay: $49.25 - $59.31 per hour
