As a Senior Estimator, you’ll lead the estimating process from conceptual design through final proposal, working closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to deliver competitive, accurate bids.
- Prepare accurate estimates for HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping projects from conceptual budgeting through final bid.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Perform design calculations and assist with equipment and material selection.
- Evaluate labor productivity, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Solicit, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop labor budgets for awarded projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, turnover meetings, and project kickoff meetings.
- Support bid tracking, bid reviews, bid bonds, and drawing procurement.
- Mentor and assist Estimator Trainees while promoting estimating best practices.

- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Solid understanding of plumbing and mechanical codes.
- Experience using estimating software such as AutoBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and similar estimating tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; or
- 10+ years of field experience in HVAC, Plumbing, or Mechanical Piping; or
- 5+ years of estimating experience within the mechanical construction industry.
