Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our Northern Estimating Team while supporting Southern estimating operations. This is a leadership role for a candidate with extensive drywall estimating experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity in a collaborative and values-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and operable partitions, along with expertise in On Center (OST/Qbid) estimating software.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Northern Estimating Team.
- Maintain and oversee the master bid log and all incoming project opportunities.
- Conduct weekly estimating meetings with the sales team.
- Review bid opportunities and determine intent to bid.
- Assign projects to estimators based on project scope and complexity.
- Review estimates and proposals for completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness.
- Develop value engineering solutions to improve bid competitiveness.
- Track bid results, win/loss ratios, and estimating performance metrics.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Business Development, and General Management.
- Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support project handoff to operations after award.
- Perform periodic job site visits.
- Maintain labor production tracking guides.
- Manage estimating software, hardware, and department resources.
- Support estimating operations for both Northern and Southern offices.
- Conduct employee performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Manage employee attendance and PTO using ADP.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related construction experience.
- 10+ years of estimating experience in:
- Drywall
- Metal Framing
- Acoustical Ceilings
- Operable Partitions
- 5+ years of Estimating Management or leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction documents and blueprints.
- Experience with On Center (OST/Qbid) estimating software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
