Title: Staff Accountant
Overview:
Hixen Search Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for a mid-sized and growing distribution company. The successful candidate will be responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial reports, monthly variance analysis and other various accounting duties. The Senior Accountant works with a team of other Accountants and will report to the Accounting Manager. He or she will be given the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility over time.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for leadership
- Review GL entries to ensure proper use of GAAP
- Review intercompany transactions
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting for the division
- Various accounting duties as needed

Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 2+ years of Accounting experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Must have good attention to detail and be organized
