Aftercare Assistant - Lakes Area Montessori Center
Lakes Area Montessori Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Aftercare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging after-school environment where children can learn, play, and have fun.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor aftercare activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Lead age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, sports, and recreational activities.
- Encourage positive behavior, kindness, and respectful interactions.
- Prepare activity materials and help maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Work collaboratively with staff to provide a fun, enriching aftercare experience.
- Communicate professionally with students, and team members.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, school, summer camp, or similar setting preferred.
- Ability to safely supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Patient, reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children.
