Job Title: Medical Technologist
Job Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Job Type: Contract - 13 Weeks
Job Duties:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests under the supervision of a medical technologist or pathologist.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and analyzers to ensure accuracy.
- Record and validate test results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or EMR.
- Follow established procedures for quality control, safety, and infection prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and lab staff to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards.
Job Requirements:
- BLS AHA
- Must have MLS, MT (ASCP) or CLS Certificate
- 2-3 Year of experience as a General Laboratory Technologist
- Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment
Schedule:
- Afternoon Shift
- 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
