- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and personal data while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with health regulation policies
- Answer incoming calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate healthcare providers or departments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accurate documentation of patient interactions, updates, and medical notes
- Process billing information, insurance claims, and payments accurately while adhering to health insurance knowledge requirements
- Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and maintaining organized office files
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
- Knowledge of health regulation policies and compliance standards related to patient privacy and confidentiality
- Experience with patient management software and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems is essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client interactions
- Familiarity with medical terminology, health insurance processes, and billing procedures is advantageous
