Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional purchases through upselling strategies
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh, appealing products
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking, replenishing merchandise, and conducting stock counts
- Use effective phone etiquette to answer questions, provide information, and direct customers or vendors appropriately
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments will help you excel in this role
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
