Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipefitter to join our industrial construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems used in various industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all piping infrastructure meets safety standards, technical specifications, and project deadlines. Duties
- Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Join pipe sections and attach system components like valves, pumps, supports, and hangers using welding, brazing, soldering, or threaded fittings.
- Install, assemble, and secure pipes using power tools, manual tools, and equipment repair techniques.
- Conduct erosion control measures to prevent environmental impact during construction activities.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of pipes and related materials safely in accordance with workplace safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by implementing safety regulations, including respiratory protection and climbing procedures.
- Coordinate with team members to execute installation sequences efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect piping systems for leaks, alignment issues, or defects; perform necessary adjustments or repairs promptly.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, or plastic pipes using specialized tools.
Experience
- Proven industrial construction experience with a focus on pipefitting or related trades.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment repair, and the use of power tools in a construction environment.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards related to pipefitting activities.
- Experience with climbing structures safely and using respiratory protection equipment when required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks reliably while maintaining workplace safety at all times.
- Demonstrated understanding of erosion control practices and environmental considerations during installation projects
