At Mindful with Children (MWC), we pride ourselves on supporting the holistic growth of children. This means providing them the academic support they need, while at the same serving as a partner in the support of their growing confidence, positive self concept, and independence. We are looking to add talented, caring educators to our team who have a passion for working with children in this capacity. Each specialist (tutor) is paired to work with a child diagnosed with a learning need for work in a 1:1 capacity. Our specialists (tutors) will often be contracted for between one and three sessions per week, lasting for one hour each session (usually somewhere between the hours of 4-8 M-Th, but you will be able to work out your own schedule with the partnering family). Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Access to a reliable car or alternate means of transportation
- Established proficiency in subject matter
- Experience teaching and/or supporting students within the range of grades K to 12
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
In addition, all educators and/or mindfulness coaches applying for a position with us will need to pass a background check and be cleared to work with children through the American Fingerprinting Services or an alternately accredited organization.
