We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support providers in delivering high-quality patient care within both women’s health and primary care settings. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, multitasking abilities, and a patient-centered approach.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens as ordered
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations per provider orders and scope of practice
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and preventive health measures
- Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, and specialty appointments
- Handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support front and back office workflows as needed
OBGYN-Specific Responsibilities
- Assist with prenatal visits and women’s wellness exams
- Prepare instruments and supplies for pelvic exams and procedures
- Perform pregnancy testing and assist with fetal monitoring preparation
- Provide patient education regarding women’s health, contraception, and prenatal care
Primary Care Responsibilities
- Support management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and preventive screenings
- Assist with routine physicals, sick visits, and follow-up appointments
- Perform point-of-care testing including glucose, strep, flu, and urinalysis testing
Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate
- Training as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution
- Certification required
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Demands:
- Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm
- Friday 8am - 2pm

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
