The responsibilities for MDS Coordinator at Morton Plant Rehab include:
- Responsible for expertly managing the completion and submission of the RAI/MDS and the Comprehensive Care Plan development for the facility in accordance with specified timeframes and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as facility Resident Assessment Coordinator (RAC) and regulatory expert.
- Monitors other MDS and Clinical Reimbursement Coordinators for accuracy and timeliness providing direction, support and assistance.
- Collects, analyzes and submits required data using patient assessment skills in the process and oversees other MDS and Clinical Reimbursement Coordinators in this process.
- Educates all team members involved in the process and serves as a subject matter expert for care plan activities.
- Coordinates reimbursement levels across disciplines and with business office manager.
- Uses database to monitor compliance to state, federal and other regulatory standards.
- Participates in preparation for regulatory and accreditation site visits and actively participates in surveys.
- Actively participates in Quality Improvement Processes.
Monitors external environment for any changes to the RAI/MDS or other regulatory requirements relating to job responsibilities and leads facility in incorporating those changes into operations.

- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

- Required RN (Registered Nurse) License – Florida
Required BLS – Basic Life Support

- Required Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma – Nursing
Preferred Bachelor's Degree – Nursing

Experience:
- Required 1 year nursing and 1 year RAI/MDS (Resident Assessment Instrument/Minimum Data Set) OR 1 year nursing and 1 year utilization review
