Job description:
A growing local applicant law firm represent injured workers looking for a experience Case Manger handling Applicant cases. We are looking for someone who can immediately assist with overseeing a large caseload, handle filing and medical work up for our injured clients
- have 10+ years of varied work comp experience from claims examiner, hearing rep for defense and applicant, liens, and can write appeals up to the initial WCAB level, trial briefs and petitions, etc.
- Be familiar with preparing, reviewing and filing Workers’ Compensation documents
- Must have WCAB Full trial experience
- Must have completed trials
- Must have at least 10+ years of Work Comp experience at WCAB board.
- Previous experience in workers' compensation law
- Attending hearings and negotiating settlements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment and multi-task
- Strong organization and detail-oriented
- Teamwork-oriented and also works well independently
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish & English is preferable)
- Familiar with Merus case management paperless solutions and computer office software
- Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing workers' compensation cases from inception through settlement

- Attend hearings (MSCs, status conferences, priority conferences, expedited hearings, etc)
- Settlements (You will receive a bonus off of each case you settle)
- Prepare necessary legal documents and maintain case files including claims, motions, and pleadings
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Communicate with clients to gather information, answer inquiries, and provide case updates
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
