Job Description:
- Management of PM manufacturing shop floor operations including employee development, operational profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Sets a monthly shipping plan for the plant and diligently collaborates with the team to execute on-time deliveries for customers
- Schedules a high-mix production environment, balancing machine capacity, tooling availability, and material lead times across concurrent jobs
- Oversees mold and tooling maintenance and works with toolroom and vendors to minimize downtime
- Utilizes reports, analyzes information, and monitors trends to identify opportunities to constantly improve the business
- Identifies opportunities to reduce waste and process improvements that are value added for customers and employees
- Interviews, hires, trains, and promotes employees to support improved plant operations and sales growth
- Ensures positive employee engagement and development through timely and effective feedback
- Champions and implements both company and plant initiatives for consistent execution and continuous improvement
- Manages daily plant operations by interpreting, communicating, and executing policies and procedures
- Resolves production-related customer and employee issues in a timely way
- Participates in meetings and conference calls with customers in support of company leadership
Qualifications:
- Multi-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environment
- Speak, listen, and write effectively in dealings with customers and employees across departments
- Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
- Identify business opportunities and suggest improvements
Education and/or Experience:
- 5+ years production, operations, or plant management experience in a MANUFACTURING plant – REQUIRED
- Experience in a high-mix production environment (managing runs ranging from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of parts) and associated ERP systems
- Experience with metal powders, metal fabrication, heat treating, and machining
- Experience managing an ISO 9001 certified operation
- Experience in a 5S and lean manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with mold and tooling maintenance
- A thorough understanding of print reading and geometric tolerancing
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in an engineering field; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered
- Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment
Work Environment:
- Will work in a manufacturing environment
- Job will require extensive walking, standing, and occasional lifting
- Occasional travel for meetings with customers, training, and/or special assignments
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
