Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible, energetic, and safety-focused Swim Instructor to teach swimming and water safety skills to individuals of all ages and skill levels. The instructor will be responsible for planning and conducting classes in accordance with the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum, ensuring a safe and fun aquatic environment.
Plan, organize, and conduct swim lessons following the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program.
Instruct students in swimming techniques, water safety, and survival skills for various levels (from beginner to advanced).
Evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback and documentation.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
Monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Ensure compliance with all facility rules and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and facility staff.
Prepare and maintain records such as attendance and progress reports.
Inspect equipment and report any unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Maintain current training skills and attend in-service training sessions.

This role requires strong swimming skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will be professional, attentive, and committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.

Part time position up to 32 hours per week.

Must be at least 15 years of age.

Monitors and ensures safety of all patrons in the facility.
Demonstrates good decision making and communication skills
Assists with facility chores including cleaning aquatics equipment, decks and checking pool chemistry
