The Front Desk Receptionist at Bethel Church is a vital role responsible for managing a dynamic and fast-paced front desk environment. This position requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to pastor and manage high-emotion interactions with grace, and a strong capacity for multitasking. This role is a vital part of our church and often the first person to interact with our visitors.
The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a high volume of requests, both in person and digitally, and will provide crucial support to both staff and visitors, as well as taking the initiative to improve systems and manage ongoing long-term projects.
Hours: Between 0 and 10 hours per week regularly.
Candidates hired into this position can expect 0-10 scheduled hours each week, with the possibility of additional hours as they become available.
Job Requirements

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to handle sensitive and high-emotion interactions.

Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a church or similar environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.

Excellent project management skills to maintain ongoing projects and follow through.

Experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.

Proficiency in office software and equipment, including phone systems, email, and digital communication tools.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or evenings as required.
