MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma.
Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in the field of biological sciences.
Must have experience in a research laboratory investigating mouse models of ocular injury/degeneration.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Receptive to new training aligned with ocular research conducted in mice in the field of neuroscience.
Experience with mouse ocular histological analysis, antibody staining and microscopy (e.g. fluorescence imaging).
Experience with mouse handling and eye injury procedures under systemic anesthesia, mouse eye imaging, animal breeding and providing injections to mice.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to verify current student status in formal accredited program upon hire. Acceptable documentation to include either a letter from academic advisor on letterhead; or a course schedule listing current term of enrollment, name of educational institute and student's name.
SCHEDULE:
This position is part time. You must be able to work 8 hours per week. Schedule will depend on department needs.
SALARY: The hourly rate for this position is $20.00. This position is not eligible for benefits.
