Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in the dental office systems.
- Assist in the management of infection control protocols and ensure compliance with aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in dental practices.
Requirements
Office hours are typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8-5.
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and familiarity with infection control standards.
- Experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical coding practices.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records efficiently.
