Monarch Recovery Services is seeking a compassionate, recovery-oriented Peer Support Specialist to join our Mental Health Transitional Living Program in Lakewood, Colorado.

Schedule
Full-time
Choose one of two schedules:
- Sunday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Training: During your first two weeks, training will be Monday–Thursday from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
What You'll Do
As a Peer Support Specialist, you will:
- Build supportive, recovery-oriented relationships using your lived experience
- Facilitate engaging peer support groups focused on wellness, coping skills, recovery, and life skills
- Provide one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching
- Encourage community involvement through recreational and wellness activities
- Transport clients to community activities and appointments as needed
- Help clients build confidence, independence, and healthy coping strategies
- Collaborate with the treatment team while maintaining the unique role of peer support
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with Medicaid and agency requirements
- Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Driving record that meets Monarch's automobile insurance requirements
- Ability to transport clients as needed
- Passion for helping others succeed in recovery
- Willingness to take a background check
Preferred:
- Colorado Peer Support credential (PSS, CPSS, or CPFS)
- Candidates actively working toward certification are encouraged to apply
- Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment
- Group facilitation experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
