About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a school-based setting.
Job Duties

Develop and implement IEPs
-
Provide specially designed instruction based on student needs

Adapt curriculum, materials, and assessments
-
Monitor academic and behavioral progress
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
-
Implement behavioral and classroom management strategies
-
Maintain accurate documentation
-
Provide accommodations and modifications identified in student IEPs
-
Maintain compliance with IDEA and Nebraska special education requirements
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
-
Valid Nebraska teaching certificate with the appropriate Special Education endorsement for the assigned grade level
-
Nebraska Special Education Generalist endorsement appropriate to the assignment, such as K-6, 7-12, or K-12
-
Completion of an approved educator preparation program
-
Required human relations and special education training
-
Completion of applicable Nebraska certification requirements and background screening
-
Knowledge of IDEA and IEP procedures
-
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
