American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position in Boston, MA, requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

38-bed multi-specialty ICU (28+10 beds) in a hospital setting
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

36 hours per week
-
Every other weekend required

Every other holiday required

Telemetry monitoring is a core part of the role, including independent reading and interpretation of rhythm strips

Active MA RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience required

Telemetry experience required, including the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
-
Nursing degree required: Diploma or ASN accepted; BSN preferred
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer proficiency

Physical ability to meet job responsibilities

Valid, unexpired driver's license required for consideration

Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above, one must be within the last 12 months, and the other within the last 3 years; references from other travelers are not accepted

Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (Test A or B) prior to placement; the test may only be taken twice
-
A telemetry test is administered on Day 1 of the assignment

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate

Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating ICU patients

Collaborates with an inter-professional team, coordinates and delegates patient care activities, and communicates with patients and their families

Assists the nursing leadership team with quality improvement projects as needed
