Essential Job Duties (not all inclusive):
- Supervises assistants, interns, volunteers assigned, and others assisting in the instructional program.
- Provides instruction for assigned class of students with developmental disabilities. Instruction includes all major areas of development, based upon students Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and curriculum.
- Conducts assessments of each student's current status in relation to the curriculum and IEP goals and objectives.
- Develops systematic instructional procedures and methodologies for each student based on the IEP and individual learning characteristics of each student.
- Implements instructional activities and procedures to attain individualized goal and objectives.
- Designs activities to improve the performance of chronological age-appropriate and functional skills in as many school and non-school environments as possible.
- Documents ongoing individual progress on each student's IEP goals and objectives.
- Modifies, as necessary, teaching methods, materials techniques, classroom organization, and other learning environments, to facilitate learning and goal attainment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- Possess or be eligible for Intervention Specialist teaching license
- as required by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)
- Valid State of Ohio driver’s licenseHours & Job Location:
