Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentist in clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
- Assist dentist chairside during a variety of treatments such as general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics,prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, providing four-handed dentistry support for efficiency and comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols and radiation safety standards
- Accurately recording patient information, medical history, and treatment details using EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times while handling sensitive patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring smooth clinic operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to prevent healthcare-associated infections
- Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently and accurately while following infection prevention management standards
- Xray Certification
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and patients
- Scanning experience with ITERO or any other scanner preferred
